MPC is a weekend hillwalking event organised by the Hillwalking Skills Section of Scouting Ireland. Participants will navigate both at night and during the day to reach various campsites throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n
The event starts at night in a remote area, with scouts in teams of four, plus a leader acting as an observer. They will navigate through a mountainous region to check in at a low camp. The following day, they will walk across a range of summits, navigating their way to different checkpoints before setting up camp. On Sunday, they will return to the car park.
