youth lead camp by the Cill Dara County Scout Reps

Introduction: This is a youth lead camp by the Cill Dara County Scout Reps. It is to be non-competitive but shield like.  Groups will set up on their own site area. If assistance is required, the reps will help and other scout groups will be encouraged to help also. If required a group may ask their scouter  to  assist. Scouts will be camping as groups in Tír na nÓg subcamp, Scouters will be camping nearby in a separate sub camp (Tír Na Sean). Each group should appoint a Patrol Leader. 

Note: There will subcamp tent in the youth area staffed by scouters for safety reasons. 

Cooking: All cooking equipment and food should be brought by groups, to their own requirements.
Scouters can either avail of scouter catering or bring own food please let us know when booking. (including any dietary requirements)

Site Detail; Each site should have :

• Suitable sleeping tents;
• Suitable cooking area (gas cookers) ; (no open fires on individual sites for safety reasons)
• Eating area (e.g. Dining Shelter / Table Benches )
• A pioneered gate (This is the only item that we ask to be pioneered).

Programme: The County Reps have arranged for a fun programme for all attending this camp including: 

• Woggle making,
• Backwoods,
• Pioneering (Mini Catapults), 
• Air Base (Rockets), 
• Canoeing (Weather Dependent),
• and a Communal Campfire

The County Scout Youth Forum for 2025/2026 will be held on this camp.
